Aiding in the resettlement of refugees in the city of Charlotte by providing resources, training, assistance and opportunities that encourages and promotes self-sufficiency. Learn more about our history, our vision and our board members.
We offer multiple programs aimed at providing new families with resources, dignity and choice. From our Warehouse providing home goods, clothing and school supplies to our Food Pantry ensuring our families are fed, we have many options for support, made possible by your donations. Welcome Home is a registered 501c3 nonprofit. This means your donations are tax deductible. We are also support Zakat donations as well as general sadaqah (charity) and program-specific. Learn more about the different ways you can support our families financially.
Welcome Home Clt began as an independent community project in 2017, aimed at providing relief and aid to new refugees in the greater Charlotte area. We became an official, 501(c)(3) non-profit in 2018, allowing us to expand our reach and services to families in need.
Since starting the organization our board members and volunteers have helped dozens of families. Currently, we help about 57 families regularly from Afghanistan, Syria and other countries.
